The glass designer and decorative artist Goran Hongell was one of the pioneers of the Finnish glass tradition. His blown glassware service Aarne set the trend for glass design during the 1950s, a trend which remains to this day. Tapio Wirkkala (1915-1985) is known as the versatile master of Finnish design. With his signature Tapio series, Wirkkala's master technique captures a bubble in every mouth-blown glass, a small reminder to enjoy the fleeting moment.
